Fantastic Stay

Fantastic stay at the cottage. Lovely location in the quiet village so close to the lake. Cottage is very spacious with comfortable sofas, excellent kitchen facilities, beautiful garden view of fields at the back. Beds are really comfortable and plenty of towels to use.. the hamper was excellent with so much choice and nice touch for when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again

I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic stay in the best self-catering cottage we have ever experienced. It was absolutely lovely, immaculate and fantastically set up with every utensil you could think of and a wonderful oven!

We really enjoyed watching the finches fly across the garden and the sheep making regular appearances.

The dog beds went down very well and the packs for the kids were so thoughtful. The bird books in particular really captured their imaginations.

We will be back I am sure, Thank you so much for putting together such a comfortable place to spend a few days.

    Perfect

           The cottage was in a beautiful and quiet location, with easy access by car to all the local amenities. The kitchen was perfect, with provision of salt. pepper, cooking oil, which makes all the difference to a self catering cottage. The rest of the cottage was lovely! The mattresses were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom and towels provided were of a high quality. The garden was a good size and I would re-book if we planned to stay in the same area again.

The house is beautiful, v clean and well presented we all felt very at home. There was lots of instructions/ directions for local attractions.

            'The Finches' is amazing, and our first reaction upon entering was, "Wow!" The cottage is beautiful: the furnishings are lovely with                               comfortable sofas and beds, and it is well-equipped throughout.  We also appreciated the 100% cotton bedding and thick fluffy towels!                      Everything was scrupulously clean (10/10 for the cutlery tray!) and the welcome gifts were a lovely extra. The location was perfect for us -            so quiet and peaceful - and just a short drive from Rutland Water.  We ate one night at 'The Finches Arms' on the Hambleton peninsula and                would highly recommend it. To conclude, we could have - and certainly would have liked to - just moved in to 'The Finches'!

          Loved our family stay here, Melissa puts a huge amount of effort, both regarding instructions and advice to providing a useful selection of                  provisions ! Place is warm, well equipped and welcoming.
